About the role:
The Infection Prevention and Control (IPaC) Nurse, in collaboration with the IPaC Clinical Nurse Consultants, IPaC Committee members and other key stakeholders, will actively participate in the delivery of the GV Health Infection Prevention and Control Program.
Successful candidate will have:
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Registered Nurse
- A minimum of three years general nursing experience, and demonstrated extensive clinical experience and knowledge of Infection Prevention and management practices
- Completion of an Infection Control postgraduate certificate OR relevant tertiary qualification OR agree to complete the ACIPC Foundations of Infection Prevention and Control course within 6 months.
- Completion of a HESA accredited immunisation training course within the past 3 years OR agree to complete immunisation course within 3 months of employment.
- Highly developed; interpersonal, complex problem solving, written and verbal communication skills including the ability to initiate and maintain effective professional relationships
