We are looking for an experienced, smart and friendly Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing IT Infrastructure Team. What you will be working on:
We are a 24/7 business with operational activities across the globe. Business demand for data security, efficiency and uptime always remains high so that and keeping the infrastructure operation secure is always number one priority. As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will be working closely with other team members and reporting to Infrastructure Team lead. You will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing ITSM’s IT infrastructure to ensure seamless operations of the business. You will be working on a variety of tasks including various systems patching, monitoring server performance, troubleshooting technical issues, implementing security measures to safeguard data, and ensuring high availability of critical systems. Additionally, you will be involved in managing various system backups, conducting regular maintenance activities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance the efficiency and reliability of our infrastructure. Your role will also entail staying updated on the latest technologies and best practices to drive continuous improvement in our IT environment and support the business in meeting its operational demands effectively.
Typical Responsibilities in the role:
- Manage and administer hypervisor servers on various platforms like Microsoft Azure HCI, Microsoft Hyper-V, VMWare Esxi, Star Wind, etc.
- Manage and administer various Windows Failover Clusters.
- Manage and administer Windows servers versions 2008 and above.
- Perform regular updates and patching of various systems across all sites.
- Maintain various backup systems. Conduct regular backups to mitigate data loss risks, and ensure that recovery procedures are robust and effective for critical systems and databases.
- Manage and maintain various cloud setup and infrastructure in Azure, AWS and GCP.
- Promptly respond to service requests and incidents related to IT Infrastructure.
- Day to day problem solving and troubleshooting of various systems and applications.
- Occasionally collaborate with security vendors, suppliers, service providers, and external resources.
- Follow all change management processes to implement production configuration changes.
Required Experience/Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3-5 years’ experience in similar role.
- Technically proficient with Windows Server Environment and technologies, VMware, storage technologies and cloud providers such as Azure. AWS and GCP.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft System Centre Products including SCCM, SCOM and SCVMM.
- Good knowledge and hands-on experience in managing web servers, specifically IIS, Apache, and Nginx.
- Working knowledge on various End Point Protection software. E.g. Trend Micro, Microsoft Endpoint.
- Familiarity with .NET applications deployment, and SSL/TLS certificate management.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills of windows systems and platforms.
- Ability to take ownership of projects and deliver critical workloads, meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
- Excellent verbaland written Englishcommunicator.
Nice to haves,but not a must:
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Git and Github
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange and Emails Gateways.
- Good knowledge of database management systems (e.g. MS SQL Server).
- Good knowledge of maintaining and administering Linux based OS and applications.
- Expertise in administering Microsoft products and solutions, configuration, deployment, and ongoing maintenance across Azure Entra, SharePoint, Teams and Office 365.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft licensing requirements for both on prem and cloud deployments.
- Good working knowledge of infrastructure monitoring tools like PRTG, Grafana, etc.
- Good working knowledge of on prem and cloud based SIEM products.
- Good working knowledge with various troubleshooting tools like Wireshark, Fiddler.
