We are currently partnered with a prominent retail chain, recognized globally for its innovative approach and commitment to excellence. Our client is seeking a talented Infrastructure Engineer to join their dynamic team and contribute to the successful implementation of their Configuration Management Database (CMDB) ServiceNow project.
Position Overview:
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a critical role in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of the CMDB infrastructure within the organization's IT environment. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the CMDB project is delivered on time, within budget, and meets the business requirements of our client.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, implementation, and configuration of the CMDB infrastructure, including servers, databases, and network components.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define infrastructure specifications for the CMDB project.
- Install, configure, and maintain CMDB-related software and tools, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and standards in the configuration and management of CMDB infrastructure.
- Document infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures to facilitate knowledge transfer and support.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members and end-users as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as an Infrastructure Engineer or similar role, preferably in a large enterprise environment.
- Solid understanding of infrastructure components, including servers, databases, storage, and networking.
- Experience with configuration management tools and technologies, such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Familiarity with CMDB concepts ie ServiceNow, ITIL framework, and ServiceNow platform is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Cisco Certified Network Associate) are advantageous.
