About the RoleThe Department is seeking a senior procurement advisor who specialises in
Infrastructure Procurement, contract management and project delivery and is capable to drive development and delivery of the program's infrastructure components, including develop and execute infrastructure specific procurement and funding pathways, establish and manage contracts and budgets, and to report on projects' progress.
Duties- Gain a working knowledge of policy objectives of the program and ensure their clear representation in all infrastructure related project plans, procurement and contract documentation.
- Maintain, review, update and implement procurement and budget decisions and documentation processes related to the infrastructure component of the Program
- Ensure any amendments/revisions of procurement-related material reflects program's needs, aligning with departmental priorities and complying with applicable legislation, regulations, policies, guidelines, reporting obligations and procedures
Skills and Experience- be experienced (5+ years) in the management and implementation/delivery of Australian Government infrastructure related programs and projects.
- be experienced (5+ years) in the management and implementation/delivery of procurement services in an agile operational environment, with a thorough understanding of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules
- Experience working in/with Pacific nations will be highly valued.
What's on offerThe successful candidate will notionally be offered a 2 year hourly rate contract at the EL1 level. This position is based in Canberra.As this role is with the Federal Government, only Australian citizens that hold an active NV1 clearance will be considered for this vacancy.
