The opportunity
We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Health Professional to join our WA Workers Compensation Injury Management Team. Reporting to the Healthcare Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Injury Management imperatives to deliver expert injury management advice and coaching to Case Managers and stakeholders.
In this position, you will:
Research and analyse team data to identify trends and opportunities for further improvement to work practices and performance
Contribute to loss mitigation programs across relevant cohorts of claims
Compliance with governance arrangements and respond to report findings
Contribute to the preparation of regular reports to business on trends and opportunities (at least monthly)
Provide proactive, expert injury management advice to Claims staff.
Maintain keen awareness of best practice within and external to the branch network and support the business to adopt process consistently across the network
Identify opportunities to review, develop and modify processes, procedures, standards and guidelines in line with research findings that support innovation, improved performance and gaining competitive advantage.
Comply with regulatory and legislative requirements relevant to medical and injury management intervention
Contribution to the preparation of training and policy material relating to injury, treatment and medical management practices
Provide ongoing involvement in injury management practices and catastrophic claims management across Statutory Classes operations
Provide direct Injury Management advice and support to the New Employer Case Management teams
Attendance and input at industry and other working groups and forums
QBE represented in external stakeholder groups and scheme discussion regarding change reform relevant to medical and injury management practice
Your story so far
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Background in Injury Management, clinical, supervisory and/or workplace-based rehabilitation experience is essential
Tertiary qualifications in medical, health or a related area
Insurance experience advantageous
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare professional reports and submissions
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong relationship management and influencing skills
Ability to design and delivery training material
Comfortable with assisting in the development of systems/IT solutions
