As an Injury Management Consultant, you will play a critical role in managing and resolving complex injury claims. You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective return-to-work processes, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and company policies. You will handle cases involving mental health and psychosocial hazards, providing support and guidance to ill or injured employees.Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of workers' compensation and income protection claims, liaising with employees, managers, medical practitioners, and insurers.
- Address complex challenges related to mental health. Apply trauma-informed practices to support employees.
- Ensure all processes align with work health and safety, Injury Management, and workers' compensation legislation.
- Collaborate with team members to identify and implement continuous improvements in Injury Management practices.
- Provide immediate support and intervention for cases involving complex mental health issues, ensuring employees receive appropriate care.
- Background in Allied Health (e.g., Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling, Mental Health Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Counselling, Social Work).
- Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline or equivalent relevant functional / industry experience.
- Expertise in mental health strategies and trauma-informed practices.
- Experience in managing mental health injury claims and delivering process improvements.
- Ability to handle complex psychosocial hazards and support return-to-work efforts.
