We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Injury Management Consultant to join a top-tier ASX-listed company in Australia.
The Opportunity
As an Injury Management Consultant, you will play a critical role in managing and resolving complex injury claims. You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective return-to-work processes, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and company policies. You will handle cases involving mental health and psychosocial hazards, providing support and guidance to ill or injured employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of workers' compensation and income protection claims, liaising with employees, managers, medical practitioners, and insurers.
- Address complex challenges related to mental health. Apply trauma-informed practices to support employees.
- Ensure all processes align with work health and safety, Injury Management, and workers' compensation legislation.
- Collaborate with team members to identify and implement continuous improvements in Injury Management practices.
- Provide immediate support and intervention for cases involving complex mental health issues, ensuring employees receive appropriate care.
- Background in Allied Health (e.g., Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling, Mental Health Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Counselling, Social Work).
- Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline or equivalent relevant functional / industry experience.
- Expertise in mental health strategies and trauma-informed practices.
- Experience in managing mental health injury claims and delivering process improvements.
- Ability to handle complex psychosocial hazards and support return-to-work efforts.
