DPA Analyst/ Insights Analyst

The Customer Service Network (CSN) includes ~720 branches, Mobile and Premier Banking as well as support office functions.
The CSN Distribution Support and Operations team is responsible for all operational support to our network of 720 branches. This includes facilitating the implementation of all changes to the frontline, ensuring business continuity with minimal disruption, proactively managing the branch network infrastructure, driving the productivity agenda for CSN and managing our portfolio of business projects to support the overall CSN strategy and objectives.
Your team
The Workforce Planning team within CSN Distribution Support and Operations have responsibility for;
- Forecasting the required full time equivalents (FTE) required in each branch every day of the week Managing the Scheduling system (MyDay/CloudCords) and support all branch users with their scheduling needs Monitoring and tracking FTE level, annual leave levels and other metrics associated with FTE Managing all the workload data inputs that feed into the Forecaster
- Conducting timing studies across branches to ensure the effort allocated for each staff in the network in accurate
The DPA Analyst is responsible for the management and ongoing support of the Desktop Processing Analytics (DPA) application and data.
The includes ensuring the DPA application is performing as expected on all branch machines, building and deploying DPA triggers using the DPA Admin interface, accessing and extracting data collected by DPA and providing insights and reports based on that data.
The analyst liaises with stakeholders across CSN and more broadly RBS and ES, either to gather requirements for new DPA triggers or DPA pop-up messages, or to provide insights based on the data already collected.
Your role Responsibilities
- Administrator of the DPA application
- Monitor and maintain the quality of the existing DPA triggers and coverage of users / machines to ensure complete
- Build new triggers based on business requirements provided by business stakeholders
- Delete old triggers which are no longer required
- Liaise with DOT and Verint regarding any issues that may affect the DPA application
- Extract, manipulate and analyse DPA data
- Provide insights from the DPA data
- Manage the SSRS DPA portal
- Manage and prioritise workload to deliver outcomes within agreed timeframes
- Work the with Retail Workforce Planning team to identify and improve the data collected by DPA to support the workload forecasting process and accuracy
- Knowledge of data management practices;
- Very proficient in data extraction (for example SQL), data manipulation (for example Excel) and data presentation (for example SSRS or Tableau) tools;
- Ability to code and automate processes using Python or Analytics Workbench is highly regarded;
- Proven ability to turn data into insights;
- Proven ability to present and communicate insights to business stakeholders in an engaging and effective way, both verbally and in written communication;
- A good understanding of banking products and services;
- A good understanding of the branch network would be an advantage;
- Ideally tertiary qualifications in a numerate discipline preferably in mathematics, statistics, analytics or have equivalent experience in a financial organisation;
- Advance proficiency in SQL, SSRS, Tableau, and in all MS Office software, particularly MS PowerPoint and MS Excel;
- Python Analytics workbench highly regarded;
