About the role
Located in the heart of the Sydney CBD, they are currently seeking an experienced and career-focused Supervisor who will be responsible for the day-to-day management of their medium to large insolvency matters as well as the supervision of a team of insolvency accountants.
This role is best suited to a passionate and proactive individual who enjoys working in a dynamic environment.
Typical day to day responsibilities
- Working across a diverse range of clients
- People management of team of insolvency accountants
- Working in our corporate insolvency and reconstruction team on appointments such as voluntary administrations, receiverships, deeds of company arrangement, creditors’ trusts and liquidations
- Having carriage of a portfolio of medium to large sized assignments
- Conducting investigations and attending to the necessary statutory reporting
- Recovering and selling businesses and assets
- Litigation support for a range of matters
- Liaising with creditors and all stakeholders involved in various administrations
- Administration and case management
- Working as part of a team on a variety of cases
Desired skills and experience
Our client is looking for a born leader, someone who holds themselves with a high standard of integrity and is solution focused.
In addition, the ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:
- Experience supervising or managing a team
- Experience in insolvency at a senior level (preferable 6+yrs)
- Professional Accounting qualifications (CA/CPA qualification required) (ARITA qualification)
- Interest in becoming a registered liquidator
- In depth knowledge of relevant insolvency and bankruptcy laws
- Investigation experience
- High level of emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Previous experience in CORE IPS, APS, MYOB, Xero
