Your New Role:
As an Instrumentation & Control System Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in bringing our visionary greenfield glass manufacturing plant to life in Yatala, QLD. This position offers the rare chance to influence the project from design through to commissioning, showcasing your expertise in industrial plant design and construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the engineering design and development for the plant's Instrumentation & Control systems, covering all critical areas from the batch house to the warehouse.
- Create detailed scopes of work and cost estimates for significant upgrades and projects.
- Guide the procurement of essential equipment and services, ensuring quality and efficiency.
- Oversee the commissioning and execution of capital works, providing expert supervision and documentation.
What You'll Bring to the Team:
- Essential: At least five years of experience in project or plant engineering within the glass industry, comprehensive knowledge in Instrumentation & Control engineering, design, installation, and troubleshooting. Proven success in managing greenfield projects and construction sites, along with proficiency in modern PLC and SCADA controls. RPEQ certification (or the ability to obtain it) is crucial, along with early-stage project design experience.
- Desirable: Familiarity with Instrumentation & Control engineering and design tools, understanding of combustion systems, machinery/process safety credentials, electrical trade license, and experience with Siemens Step7/TIA Portal, PlantSCADA/WinCC, process control network design, and cybersecurity.
