What role you will play in our team

If you are passionate about safety, building positive relationships, and working within a strong team environment, then we have the role for you!

Imperial is seeking an Electrical Engineer-in-Training to provide technical support at distribution and pipeline facilities within our Midstream division. You will play an integral part in maintaining Canada's fuel supply.

What you will do

  • Guide development of projects at pipeline and terminal facilities
    • Participate in developing solutions to technical issues and implementing improvements
    • Develop procedures and maintain drawings
  • Support Projects between Mechanical Completion (MC) and Project turnover
    • Provide engineering guidance on execution of facility upgrades, work directly with consultants and oversee commissioning as the owner's representative
  • Troubleshooting and consulting at operating facilities
    • Provide field or remote support for 23 terminals & 65 pipeline sites
About you

Skills and Qualifications

  • Electrical Engineering degree form an accredited university
Preferred Qualifications/ Experience
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record is required
  • Basic IT security and controls knowledge is required
  • Preference for candidate with less than 3 years of work experience
  • Preference for candidate with a minimum of 1 year in the area of network security and controls
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Dependable and willing and able to handle urgent issues (may include availability outside of regular working hours/weekends/holidays)
  • Ability and willingness to travel across Canada for field activities (25-75% of time in field)
