Position Summary
We are currently seeking to appoint to multiple Intake and Assessment Officerpositions to work as a part of our UnitingCare Qld Escaping Violence Program. The position will be full time, on a fixed-term contract ending 30 June 2024 with the possibility of extension. There is the flexibility to be based at either Chermside, Annerley, Nundah or Kingaroy.
The Opportunity
UnitingCare Queensland, alongside other Uniting agencies across Australia, has been selected by the Federal Government, to assist with a new program which will provide financial support for people who are escaping domestic violence.
In responding to clients who are escaping violence the Intake and Assessment Officer utilises a screening, triage and risk assessment process and provides high quality intake and Assessment screening.
What you'll need
- Qualifications - Minimum Certificate IV in Human Services or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience in the Family and Domestic Violence sector is highly desirable
- Ability to engage with people in crisis who present with a range of complex needs
- Demonstrated competence in oral and written communication with high level proficiency in Information Technology systems (including Microsoft Office)
