About the roleAs the ICU
Liaison Nurse you will work both independently and with the multi-disciplinary team to provide safe and effective care for patients before, during and after their ICU stay. You will be a clinical expert in assessment of critically ill patients and work collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to ensure best care for patients. The ICU
Liaison Nurse is a senior responder to MET calls and Code Blues with the expectation that you will provide expert advice and support to the patient and staff.As this is a
Developmental Role, you will be supported by your
Liaison Nurse colleagues, and the wider ICU team as you develop your skills and abilities to work autonomously in the clinical deterioration and post-ICU space.
About youTo be successful in this role you will possess:- Current nursing registration with AHPRA
- Post Graduate qualifications in Critical Care
- Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- The ability to work both independantly and as part of a diverse team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-directed and able to prioritise tasks

Selection Criteria Essential: Post graduate certificate in Critical Care nursing.
Desirable: Demonstrated clinical skills aligned with experience and scope of practice, at least 5 years' experience in Critical Care nursing.
Essential: Advanced clinical and patient assessment skills.
