The College of Intensive Care Medicine (CICM) is responsible for intensive care medicine specialist training and education in Australia and New Zealand. With over 1200 members, and a similar number of trainees, we strive to support the capability of our membership to deliver critical care to their patients.
The College provides a high-quality training program. As one of our Training Administrators you will be accountable for administration and support for trainees completing assessments of the CICM program, delivering support for training and assessment progression and support to training and assessment committees. This includes:
Formal Projects – administrative support, meeting support, written and verbal communication and accurate data collection and storage to the Formal Projects Panel and Chair and to the trainees submitting their projects to this panel. Ensuring all documentation is collected, recorded and submitted in accordance with all policies relating to the Formal Projects.
International Medical Graduates – assist with meeting and workshop organisation and review of trainee action plans.
Committee Support – meeting organisation, agendas, minutes, report preparation and regular communication between the committee chairs and members and CICM employees.
Assessment Support – respond to trainee’s assessment enquiries via inbox and phone and process all outcomes of these queries; update databases with changes and review submitted reports and documents. You will also ensure the trainee records are up to date in the portal.
In all of these areas continuous improvements to the processes is required to ensure we are providing a quality and efficient administrative service to all stakeholders.
Experience in a similarly focused administration and service role is essential. You will demonstrate professional interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide a knowledgeable service to our applicants and trainees with sound written communication skills. The capability to prioritise and organise your work to meet deadlines whilst maintaining a very high level of quality in your work is essential. You will also be a team contributor who will take the initiative. Basic MS Office skills and knowledge of data handling and storage practices is essential, and exposure to Power BI reports desirable.
