Job Pathways is a leading Aboriginal controlled ‘for purpose’ community development organisation. Our programs aspire to improve lives and transform communities through the delivery of the Commonwealth Government Community Development Program, NDIS Service and a Recycling social enterprise. We are looking to fill a core role to assist our CDP team in Kununurra to excel in service delivery.
The primary purpose of the Intensive Case Management Officer role is to hold accountability for integrated case management practices to a defined caseload of high needs and/or vulnerable job seekers.
This position is responsible for Intensive Case management of job seekers identified as being ‘in crisis’ with a remit to implement strategies to stabilise identified barriers, and in turn, enhance job readiness.
The key elements of the role include:
• Developing mutually beneficial relationships with a broad spectrum of complementary service providers.
• Thinking and planning strategically to develop meaningful, results-driven case management practices (inclusive of dual case management).
• Maintaining a small caseload of job seekers with complex needs, in accordance with contractual requirements.
Essential Criteria
• Certificate IV in Employment.
• Demonstrated experience in working with clients with complex needs, such as people with a disability, drug and alcohol dependency, homelessness, domestic violence and psychological disorders.
• Demonstrated ability to provide innovative case management services that address disadvantaged job seekers complex barriers, and take into account labour market trends and potential suitable employment options.
• Advanced communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, including the ability to engage disadvantaged job seekers and implement effective counselling strategies.
