The role
As our next Intensive Child and Family Practitioner, you'll be providing targeted support to children and families where the children are at risk of entering care systems, or where safe reunification within the household is appropriate.
This is a unique opportunity to directly impact the outcomes of vulnerable children and families by employing a Child and Family-centred approach to your work and overseeing a low caseload of about four cases. This will allow you to provide targeted and intensive support services to your clients on an ongoing basis.

Your Experience
To be eligible for this role, a tertiary qualification in a discipline related to Social Work e.g. Bachelor of Social Work, Bachelor of Psychology or a Diploma of Welfare studies or similar in addition to 12+ months of experience in working therapeutically with complex children and vulnerable families is required.
Your proficiency in delivering rapid, culturally safe, flexible and intensive services to children and families using a therapeutic and care team approach will be invaluable in this role.
Your hands-on experience working in a collaborative environment with child protection services, demonstrated ability to convene and chair care team meetings and your knowledge of relevant legislation as it applies to the Social Work sector will be essential assets.
