About the role
We are seeking a dedicatedSenior Specialist Family Violence Practitioner for our Integrated Men's Services! You will provide support and intervention to men who have perpetrated Family Violence. This role requires the successful candidate to have access to a private space to deliver the online Men's Behaviour Change Group programs.
Responsibilities include
- Complete intake and assessment processes for men who have used Family Violence
- Co-facilitating face to face and online Men's Behaviour Change groups, including after-hours group facilitation
- Provide individual intervention and case coordination services to men and their families
- Conduct on-going risk assessments and develop safety plans to mitigate risk and ensure safety
- Always prioritise the safety of women and children
- Maintain professional documentation and administrative systems according to program and legislative requirements
- Client engagement is underpinned by a strengths-based approach
This is a fixed-term full-time position, contracted until June 2025, based in Leongatha, VIC. Salary and conditions are in accordance with SCHADS Award Level 6.
You will have
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work/Social Sciences or related field (essential)
- Demonstrated Family Violence experience.
- Case management skills and experience desirable
- An understanding of the complexities that come with working with Men who use violence
- A Current Victorian Driver's Licence
