The Role
We are seeking a full-time Interior Designer to join our showroom in Chadstone. You will be responsible for delivering on high end residential projects. With the strength of the Coco Republic design brand behind you, you can look forward to working on exciting projects working with stunning products. This role is based on the showroom floor and a mixture of Interior Design and Sales.
Key responsibilities include:
- Responsible for bringing the Interior Design project from the initial brief, to fee letter stage and then to final presentation within set deadlines.
- Assessing client briefs including time and budgetary requirements.
- Providing comprehensive project outlines and drafting fee letters.
- Lead designs on any given project, driving and developing innovative and creative design concepts for the project client as specified in the fee letter and design brief.
- Produce original and innovative ideas for new projects while working independently within the specified project scale, requiring minimal direction.
- Finalise design work with excellence, innovation and originality maintaining Coco Republic's market position as a design leader and innovator
- Assessing the quality of deliverables prior to presentation including presentation boards and any accompanying documents and samples.
- Communicate correspondences with project clients, suppliers, contractors / repairers both during and post the design phase
Candidate Profile
Professionalism and accuracy are key traits for success within this role, you will need a strong desire to grow and be challenged.
We are looking for the following experience/capabilities and skills:
- Must have 3-5 years experience in either own or reputable Interior Design business with proven industry success
- Must hold a valid driver's license
- Must be able to produce original and innovative design ideas for projects; with experience in mood board documentation and production
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs; Word, Excel and Outlook
- Proficient in CAD drawing and graphic programs such as Photoshop, InDesign and Vectorworks with the ability to produce 3D renders
- High level organisational with strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
- Strong sales ability, with business strategy awareness
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present professionally to clients
- Team focused, with the ability to work partnering on projects
- File management and administration skills, with an awareness of inventory management and in-house inventory systems
- High level design expertise in hotel/hospitality fit outs and major residential projects is desirable
- Construction White Card is desirable
