Your new company is a fast-growing Renovation agency who works with some of Melbourne's best Real Estate companies and Property advocates helping their clients improve their properties for financial or emotional gain.
We are looking for a skilled and motivated team member to assist us in delivering on our client's expectations and dreams.
The Interior Designer & Decorator role reports directly to the CEO and will play an integral part in the creative and effective delivery for each project. On top of this, the role will be responsible for the administrative function that keeps the day to day running. The role will work closely with the Project Assistant, Site Manager and trades to ensure all KPI’s of the projects are being met.
Your new role:
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Skilled in translating client's objectives and expectations into a visual representation.
- Be creative coming up with solutions for residential & commercial spaces, within project resources.
- Understand/source local material (renovation & furnishing related) and be able to select according to project budget
- Utilize design software efficiently to put together mood boards (including material selection / FFE schedule), 2D & 3D Drawings, etc.
- Work within tight deadlines to deliver design work.
- Understand client feedback and work within project boundaries to provide solutions.
- Work closely with the team and present confidently to clients.
- Furnish and decorate finished projects for clients and photoshoots.
To be successful in the role you will ideally have the following experience:
- Qualifications in Interior Design / Architecture from an Australian accredited institution.
- A least a minimum of 3 years of experience being an Interior Designer in Australia.
- Have experience decorating / styling to the Australian market.
- Has Driver’s License & owns car to drive where required in Melbourne Metro area.
- Proficient and efficient in Microsoft Office suite, Sketch Up, AutoCAD, Revit, Indesign, and Photoshop.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Eagerness to learn & grow into the role.
- Be proactive and show problem solving skills.
