1Group is a diversified Property Advisory, Project Management & Construction company that specialises in Healthcare and helping high net-worth individuals buy, build and develop.
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated designer to join our fast-growing team. The designer will be responsible for assisting the design team with a variety of tasks related to the design and planning of healthcare fit-outs. The role requires an eye for design, attention to detail, and good communication skills. Experience in commercial and medical space interior design a must.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the design team in conceptualising layouts and designs for medical facilities such as clinics, dentists, and specialists' rooms based on client requirements
- Prepare drawings, floor plans, elevations, and sketches of proposed designs using Revit
- Design floor plans, elevations, 3D perspective views, and material boards
- Conduct research on medical design trends, building codes, and material options
- Consult with clients to understand their needs and refine design proposals accordingly
- Develop CAD drawings from hand sketches, verbal instructions, and site visits
- Participate in furniture, fittings selection, and documentation of specifications
- Work collaboratively with other designers, project managers, engineers, architects, and consultants involved in projects
- Review drawings and plans created by other designers for accuracy and compliance with standards
- Maintain project documentation and files in an organised manner
- Prepare visualisations, renderings, and models to communicate designs to clients
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in a related discipline (i.e. Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or Building Design)
- Minimum 3 years experience: Proven track record in building and interior design
- Strong Revit skills essential
- Strong visual communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Previous experience in healthcare design is highly desirable
- Experience in 3D modeling, rendering, and floor plans
- Dynamic creative perception and the ability to think ‘outside the box’
- Strong working knowledge of Australian building codes and regulations.
