Clinical Nurse Educator (527589)

The Community Nursing Clinical Nurse Educator is based at Launceston Community Nursing Service providing education and support to community nursing services in the North. This is a proactive role that responds to the needs of staff development to provide care for clients of community nursing services. This role is key to supporting evidence based clinical care delivery and increased skills standardisation. This role works closely with the management team and is part of the leadership of community nursing. You will work autonomously with the support of the team. Launceston Community Nursing Service:

• Is a dynamic service with approximately 400 active referrals per month covering the Launceston area
• Provides palliative, wound, continence and subacute care in clients' homes and clinic settings
• Provides care with a Wellness and Reablement Lense to enhance client capability and improved outcomes.

The role:

• The role of the Clinical Nurse Educator is to facilitate and support the development of the Primary Health North workforce by planning, promoting, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating education programs in the clinical setting of primary health rural and remote services.

Details of Appointment

Permanent, part time, day worker position working 38 hours per fortnight, commencing from 8 July 2024

• Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.

Salary: $111,506 - $118,336 pro rata per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

• Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type
• Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023 and Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Interim Agreement 2013

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

1. Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse

2. Current Driver’s Licence

Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change. This includes notifying the Employer if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.
