Salary: $71,000 per annum + superannuation
Callander Constructions Pty Ltd is a bespoke building company based in Mudgee.
We are seeking a creative and skilled Interior Designer to join our team on a full-time basis.
The Interior Designer will be responsible for translating our clients' visions into beautiful and functional interior spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
Conceptualisation and Planning:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their design preferences, functional requirements, and budget constraints.
- Develop design concepts, mood boards, 3D models and floor plans that align with client expectations.
Design Development:
- Select and source materials, furniture, and accessories that complement the overall design concept.
- Create detailed drawings and specifications for construction.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant building codes and regulations.
Project Coordination:
- Oversee and manage the implementation of design concepts, providing guidance to contractors and the construction team.
- Source supplier quotes and input costs into construction estimating software
- Purchase materials and products included in specifications
- Attend site visits and undertake site measurements
- Manage council approvals (where required)
- Prepare BASIX Certificates (where required)
- Undertake project styling
- General office administration
Client Communication:
- Maintain open and clear communication with clients throughout the design process, incorporating feedback and making necessary adjustments.
- Present design proposals and updates to clients in a professional and engaging manner.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Interior Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful projects.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
