AddressWe have a position available for an accountant to join our team. This role would suit someone who has had exposure to professional practice at intermediate to senior level.
With direct exposure to clients, you will work within a dynamic team and have access to mentoring, training and career development.
You will be a team player, working collaboratively with others and deliver a range of taxation, financial and business advisory services.
Client contact is an essential part of this role. You will need to possess exceptional communication skills. Building rapport and gaining a client’s trust ensures a mutually rewarding client – accountant relationship. You are encouraged to get to know your clients.
Formal in-house training is provided. Additional on-the-job learning is necessary and it is expected that as a professional, you will maintain a current knowledge of accounting and tax changes and keep up to date with your professional reading.
CPA/CA studies are encouraged, we cover the cost and provide paid study and exam leave. We pay your annual membership fees.
Performance and remuneration reviews are conducted every 6 months. Your performance is measured against standard benchmarks.

Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Preparation of accounts, financial statements, income tax returns, activity statements and management reports
- Handle day-to-day client queries
- Responsibility for ensuring monthly and quarterly compliance work is prepared and lodged on time for a portfolio of clients
- Research topics and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current issues
- Liaise with the ATO, SRO, Workcover, ASIC and other third parties
- Other tasks assigned from time to time
About you:
- Bachelor of Business/Commerce Degree (Accountancy) qualified and studying towards CPA/CA
- 1-4 years or experience in public practice
- Experience in MYOB and Xero
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Willingness to be mentored and learn from those around you
