As an Intermediate Accountant within the Business Services team, you will be exposed to excellent training, assigned a mentor, and provided with all the tools to develop into an all-round Senior Accountant. You will also be exposed to some of the firm's largest clients and advisory work from day one.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Preparing income tax returns and special purpose financial reports for a wide variety of clients
- Researching and preparing practical written advice
- Providing tax planning advice for clients
- Liaising with the ATO including preparation of general correspondence in relation to income tax, PAYG & GST matters
- Ensuring that jobs are completed efficiently and effectively as directed
- Assisting clients with ad-hoc enquiries in a timely fashion
- Effective communication with Partners, Managers and peers
Qualifications, Skills & Experience Required:
- Min 2 years’ experience in a similar practice (in Australia)
- Working towards or completed CA/CPA
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Strong commercial acumen
- Efficient time management skills, highly dependable and thrives as part of a team
- Experience with Xero and/or MYOB
- Eagerness to learn, develop and progress
