The Role
The Business Advisory team in our Geelong office is seeking an Intermediate Accountant to join their growing team. In this client-centric role you will have exposure to a varied client portfolio and will provide a range of accounting, compliance and advisory services. You will be supported by a close-knit, high-performing team, and have opportunities to refine your skills and expertise in this role, creating a positive environment for career growth.
As an Intermediate Accountant you will be responsible for:
Working with the client manager to manage a portfolio of clients across a diverse range of industries
Using your technical expertise across accounting and tax to deliver income tax returns, complex special purpose reports, annual financial statements and reconciliations for companies, partnerships, and trusts
Preparation of monthly management reports for client, cashflow statements and the construction of logical and accurate working papers
Preparing budgets for client engagements
Assisting in consulting matters including the provision of tax advice
Providing guidance and support to junior team members through quality feedback and review, coaching and delegation
As our ideal new team member, you will have:
Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) or similar undergraduate degree
Completed professional certification – CA, CPA or equivalent (or working towards)
1- 3 years of accounting experience in a professional services firm
Motivation and a commitment to self-development and career progression
Excellent written and oral communication skills
A strong ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
