About the Role: Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Accountant to join their team in Mosman or Sydney CBD. This role presents a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with a passion for numbers and a commitment to delivering high-quality financial services. As a Accountant, you will play a key role in managing client accounts, maintaining financial records, and providing valuable insights to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage client accounts and perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure financial records are up-to-date.
- Prepare financial reports and provide insights to clients to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with colleagues and clients to address any accounting or financial queries.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to industry regulations and best practices.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Has 5+ years of experience in a bookkeeping/accounting team, preferably within a Chartered environment or a Family office looking after multiple entities.
- Holds a relevant accounting qualification.
- Preferably has specific experience working with clients or within any of the following areas: Private Equity and Venture Capital, Investment Management, Fund Accounting, advanced Payroll, Tax and Statutory compliance, in addition to Management Accounting, Accounting Process Optimization, and Technology Solutions.
- Demonstrates a high level of attention to detail and a solid commercial understanding.
- Exhibits exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and staff interactions.
- Shows strong prioritisation and time management abilities, with the capacity to work both in a team and independently.
- Has extensive experience in the Xero ecosystem - we are a Xero and Payroll certified office.
- Is proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with experience in Microsoft Teams preferred.
- Embodies reliability, professionalism, and ethical integrity, with a commitment to continuous growth and learning.
- Must have Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency.
