At Ideas Group, we value talent and ambition. We are currently seeking an Intermediate Accountant to join our team. As part of the Bondi Junction specialised team, you can work with a diverse range of clients and gain hands-on experience in various aspects of accounting, taxation and financial services.

The work at the firm is varied and challenging, with clients' needs ranging from Tax Compliance, Structuring, SMSF, Business Advisory to Commercial support. 

Main Responsibilities:

• Preparing annual financial statements and tax returns for individuals, trusts, partnerships, SMEs, SMSF and groups.
• Preparing Business Activity Statements (BAS) or Instalment Activity Statements (IAS)
• Overseeing the bookkeeping and payroll work and preparing month-end or quarter-end reporting
• Assisting Managers and the Partner to provide clients with proactive, timely and accurate services
• Communicating with clients and other relevant stakeholders

Requirements:

1. Australian University Graduate: You should hold a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field from an Australian university.
2. Strong Commitment: You must be committed to pursuing or qualified CPA or CA qualification and demonstrate a genuine interest in building a successful career in accounting.
3. Work Experience and Knowledge: Minimum 2 years' accounting experience in public practice and sound knowledge of Australian income tax, GST, CGT, FBT, Div 7A, payroll tax and accounting standards
4. Excellent Analytical Skills: We are looking for individuals with a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and a passion for numbers.
5. Team Player: Collaboration is key at Ideas Group. You should possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
6. Xero, MYOB and Class Super experience desirable
