About the Role:
In this key position, you will be integral to our accounting operations, providing comprehensive financial services and support. Reporting directly to the Partner - Financial Accounting and Tax, Australia, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and reviewing financial statements, management accounts, and tax returns for various clients.
- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Managing and performing bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Conducting financial analysis and providing insights to support business decisions.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulations.
- Liaising with clients to address inquiries and provide expert accounting advice.
- Supporting audit processes and working with external auditors as needed.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of internal accounting processes and systems.
Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CA qualification preferred).
- Has 3-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably within a Chartered Accounting firm or a corporate environment.
- Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Possesses excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Is proficient in Microsoft Office, Gsuite, and accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks).
- Exhibits meticulous attention to detail and high standards of accuracy.
- Can manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Shows a proactive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges.
- Demonstrates loyalty, professionalism, and a desire for long-term growth within the organisation.
