Job description

About NRI

Transformative digital solutions take more than IT expertise. They take a partner you can count on. With an eye for precision and the vision to help you progress. Who can move quickly to find the right ways forward – so that you’re always ahead of tomorrow

We’re that partner for countless businesses. Designing, implementing, and managing digital solutions that are as personalised as they are progressive. That opens the doors to greater digital success – across business, government and beyond.

We deliver everything from business strategy and consulting to infrastructure and managed IT services. We’re backed by a global reach that makes us a truly game-changing alternative in the digital services space – with local decision-making and authority. And we’re powered not just by technology, but by passionate people who are fearlessly committed to getting it right for our customers.

The Internal Communications & Events Manager is responsible for ensuring that our brand, mission, culture, and achievements are effectively communicated and promoted through various channels such as newsletters, virtual events, campaigns, in-person events, and our intranet. It is a dynamic and diverse role which will keep you on the go.

The opportunity
In this 12-month fixed-term contract, you will lead NRI’s Internal Communications and Events strategy, keeping our employees informed, engaged, and aligned with our company’s goals.
Reporting to the Executive General Manager of Marketing and Communications and working side-by-side with the wider Marketing team, you’ll be the go-to person through which the whole NRI organisation stays well-informed and connected with the business.
This is a highly collaboratively role which requires you to work closely with a variety of stakeholders from all business units across NRI.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support the delivery of employee events across our regions. This will include researching event concepts, sourcing quotes, writing copy for invitations, and working closely with our Graphic Designer to deliver promotional assets.
  • Manage the employee intranet (Sharepoint), maintain the site governance plan, and keep the site engaging, effective, and on brand.
  • Collaborate with different business units to gather information, write engaging content, and drive events for their teams.
  • Develop engaging social media content for our initiatives that help promote our employee brand experience externally.
  • Work closely with people leaders and executives across the business
  • Set up and run virtual events, webinars, and meetings
  • Make our Corporate Partnerships engaging for employees
  • Adhere to NRI’s brand guidelines and be an advocate for the brand by ensuring strong brand governance.

Your experience
The following knowledge, skills, and attributes are expected:
  • Past work experience in a marketing, events, and/or Internal Communications role
  • Good general knowledge of effective communications and strategies, including social media
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder management experience
  • A creative eye and ability to think outside of the box
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Intranet best practice and governance skills, particularly Sharepoint
  • Basic competency in Canva
  • Possess strong time management skills, organisational skills, and excellent attention to detail

What’s in it for you
In exchange for your exceptional skills and commitment, you’ll be rewarded with
  • Unwavering focus on personal and professional development
  • Diverse and challenging project work
  • Paid certifications
  • Flexible working arrangements including working from home and working from overseas
  • Access to mental health, medical, financial, and health & well-being resources

  • A competitive salary package
  • Corporate partnership perks

So, if you're ready to take the reins and help us keep the NRI team feeling engaged and connected, we're ready for you!
