This is an opportunity to put your passion for Internal Communications into practice by supporting the transition to a new intranet in a pivotal project for the business. This 12-month full time contract will give you the capacity to showcase your exceptional stakeholder engagement, project management, and writing and editing skills.
ABOUT THE ROLE.
What will you do?
Reporting to the National Marketing and Communications Manager, this position will take the lead on the Internal Communications function of the new intranet project, with responsibilities including:
· rebuilding the intranet using the new, approved information architecture (IA)
· providing advice on new page template structures and styles
· maintaining relationships with business areas and staff identified as intranet anchors
· creating engaging and informative written content for new intranet pages
· guiding staff on the use of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1), including writing for the web and meeting accessible reading levels
· translating complex concepts into digestible content for different audiences
· being an editing and proofreading ninja
· providing strategic Internal Communications advice and support for business
· assisting with project communications.
About you:
The successful applicant will ideally have:
· experience in managing or working on an intranet or intranet project
· excellent writing and editing skills and a high attention to detail
· strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build productive working relationships with a geographically dispersed workforce
· strong project management skills and the ability to work autonomously
· a degree in communications or marketing or equivalent experience.
