The Role

Based out of our QLD Branch (Beenleigh) and surrounding areas, the role is to supplement our Internal plant division, that builds, commissions and Integrates technologies into Telstra/NBN exchange based locations. There will be a emphasis on being able to work in both team and individual environments, and have a strong ability to learn new technologies and products.

To be considered for the position you must have the following:

• Be highly self-motivated and demonstrate great attention to detail.
• Good communication skills.
• Experience working on the Telstra / NBN networks is essential.
• Experience in installation of infrastructure with a sound understanding of the equipment involved such as found in telecommunications environments, in particular with regard to HFC networks.
• Experience with telecommunications DC power.
• Experience in terminating and testing of Coax RF cabling.
• Experience with Fibre Optics.
• Experience with NBN Ribbon Fibre. 
• Experience with OTDR / IL.
• Experience in completing fibre workbooks.
• Experience and competency with integration of live, customer impacting infrastructure. 
• Relevant experience in telecommunication installation techniques, methods and standards.
• You must be able to troubleshoot, fault find and diagnose technical issues on site and be familiar will all aspects of Handover Documentation.
• Must have a good working knowledge of Excel and Word.
• Current Drivers licence
• Current Open ACMA licence
• Ability and flexibility to travel interstate if / when required by the project.
• Ability and flexibility to work overnight if / when required by the project.
• Ability and flexibility to work overtime if / when required by the project.

You will have a strong commitment and understanding of OH&S and ensure compliance on site. Due to the nature of the work you must be able to work unsupervised and have excellent time management skills coupled with a desire to get the job done right the first time.
