We are seeking a capable and motivated Internal Recruitment Officer to join our very busy HR team at the Parklea Correctional Centre. This role is of paramount importance, and we are therefore seeking a suitably experienced individual who can deliver end to end recruitment services, from initial job requisition through to offer, onboarding and orientation. Duties includes but are not limited to:
- Working closely with hiring and department managers to understand their staffing needs and vacancies
- Creating job ads and building relationships with external bodies (such as TAFE’s, Universities) in order to attract suitably qualified applicants
- Reviewing applications to identify potential candidates for roles
- Pre-screening applicants
- Scheduling and coordinating interview panels
- Collating interview information
- Coordinating pre-employment checks including psychometric and medical assessments, police checks, security checks, working with children checks etc
- Reference checking to verify their work history, qualifications, and performance
- Preparation and submission of security clearance documentation to Corrective Services NSW
