The Opportunity:
As an Inside Sales Representative, you will be at the forefront of our client’s business, responsible for driving revenue growth and ensuring exceptional customer experiences. The role will see you managing existing and new customers, providing technical support and using your excellent time management skills to ensure smooth and timely delivery of materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to incoming customer enquiries, develop accounts and generate quotations
- Identify customer needs and recommend specific products to meet project requirements. Use you technical solution selling skills
- Effective management of the quote process, ensuring KPI’s and sales targets are met
- Provide internal and external customer support, manage vendor and branch enquiries about materials and sales (including warehouse errors, shortages, and damaged material)
- Monitor expected ship dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed
This is a pivotal role within the sales team. You will work closely with the External Sales Representatives to ensure client relationships are effectively managed and sales targets are met.
Key Requirements:
- Previous technical sales experience, preferably within the mining, energy, infrastructure or a related industry
- Excellent solution selling and follow up skills – take the lead to ensure tight deadlines are met
- Experience with SAP or similar in-house ordering system will be highly regarded
