About The Role
Internal Sales Representative/ FT – Monday to Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm
You will play a pivotal role on a day-to-day basis, supporting the external sales teams, managing customers’ requirements on the phone, email and face to face. You will also be supporting your team with logistics and the daily functions of the branch as required. Your goal is to maximise sales and brand integrity through effective customer engagement strategies. There is also a possibility for career progression within the sales team. You will be working in a small team, reporting to the Perth Branch Manager.
This is a great opportunity for either a person at the start of their sales career looking to develop their technical sales abilities or a more experienced person seeking a satisfying and challenging role.
Responsibilities
- Grow existing and new customer accounts
- Maintain customer relationships
- Contribute to meeting and exceeding monthly and annual budgets
- Quoting of current in-house stock and broader Burwell product range.
- Receive quotes and Purchase Orders and input in system
- Ensure correct data entry
- Keep stock at adequate levels
- Effective communication with customers on all levels for example on orders/ general updates
- Updating Sales Reps/Managers and/or customers on deliveries.
- Liaise with customers in person, over the phone and email to accept orders and address product enquiries.
- Prepare quotations as requested to meet customer requirements.
- Assist customers over the phone or by email with equipment fault diagnostics.
- Assist other staff when required.
- Pick, pack, and load customer orders as required.
- Pickup and delivery of goods using Burwell work vehicle when required.
- Other duties as directed by our Branch Manager
What You’ll Need To Succeed
- The ability to work within a team with a positive approach to challenges
- Good problem solver
- Comfortable with computers and learning new systems
- Australian drivers licence
- Direct selling experience
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Planning/Time management of call cycle
- Ability to identify pain points and address customer needs.
- A commitment to company OH&S policies
- Excellent communicator at all levels
- Effective decision maker
- Some physical lifting of equipment / hoses is a usual task, so a degree of fitness is required.
- Forklift licence is not essential but is a benefit
- Knowledge of the industry would be advantageous.
- Ability to plan and problem solve.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
