We are seeking an exceptional Team Leader to join our growing International Conference business. In this managerial role, you will oversee several other team members and ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of our company. You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact and will be expected to lead the Conference Team largely independently, reporting directly to our conference directors, who work full-time in their respective professions (the Law and Medicine)
In this remote role, you have the option to work from a co-working space. We welcome applicants Australia wide.
Responsibilities
- Leadership and Decision-Making: Oversee day-to-day operations and coordinate a dedicated team, ensuring smooth execution of all tasks
- Conference Organisation: Manage the planning and execution of 8-10 medical and legal conferences annually, including networking activities, some of the hotel contracts, and some of the academic aspects
- Marketing and Promotion: Lead promotional efforts through email campaigns and online advertising, executed by other team members
- Client Communication: Maintain an excellent standard of client communication, directly or through team members
- Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive company growth
- Cross-marketing with travel: Working closely with our travel agency to cross-market our conference and travel products
- Academic Development: Continuously improve our academic agenda and accreditation
Required skills
- Proven management experience with strong decision-making capabilities
- Expertise in organising and overseeing events
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Dynamics 365 (or comparable CRM)
- Strong IT skills and familiarity with tools like WordPress, Squarespace, Mailchimp, Canva, or similar products.
- Experience with PowerAutomate and AI tools is a plus.
