A great opportunity has arisen for an International Engagement Coordinator to join our team at AusIMM on a part-time basis (0.6 FTE).
Please note: this role will be required to work in AusIMM's Melbourne office a minimum of 2 days per week, with potential to WFH one day per week.
Reporting to the Head of Online Courses and Strategic Programs, the International Engagement Coordinator will primarily support International Engagement initiatives directed at AusIMM members and stakeholders in key regions around the world, as well as provide support for international business development activities.

About You:
You will be joining an enthusiastic and hard-working team within a business that welcomes your ideas and supports your career. You are personable, customer focused, self motivated and have a strong attention to detail.
Ideally, you will have formal qualifications in international relations, business, communications or a related discipline, as well as the following:
- Demonstrated experience in coordination or administration of activities with organisations based outside Australia
- Experience managing competing priorities to meet agreed deadlines whilst solving problems in an innovative and creative manner
- Excellent written communications skills
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to manage key relationships in a culturally diverse environment
- Advanced level Microsoft Office skills
- Flexibility to do some work outside of core Australian working hours to accommodate international time zones
About the Role:
The International Engagement Coordinator is responsible for the delivery of key elements of AusIMM’s international strategy.
Key activities include:
- Supporting the executive and other team members to effectively engage with key international stakeholders
- Providing communications and administrative support to AusIMM’s international member representatives and groups, such as organising and promoting local events and activities
- Preparing and delivering regular webinars and online check-in meetings for international stakeholders
- Acting as Secretariat of AusIMM’s International Advisory Forum and providing administrative support for AusIMM’s involvement in international bodies such as the Global Mineral Professional Alliance (GMPA) and the International Council on Mining and Metals (ICMM)
- Coordinating AusIMM’s presence at international events and conferences
- Implementing key deliverables of international partnership agreements
- Coordinating research on international markets and ongoing feedback and evaluation from international stakeholder groups
- Coordinating International Engagement visits, including preparing meeting briefs and background profiles
