Our client is a recognised Global FMCG in the consumer goods & retail space. They have an expanding presence in Australia due to an outstanding product range, and highly developed sales & marketing strategy. Due to this growth they are looking to employ the services of a locally based Help Desk Specialist to address user inquiries, resolve technical issues and ensure the smooth operation of their IT systems.
The Role
This will be a stand-alone role in Australia and a part of the company’s Global Helpdesk team. Key responsibilities will include:
- Provide IT help desk and application support to local office and site staff.
- Respond to service issues and requests
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, systems, printers, and other end-user devices.
- Provide network support and assist in the setup and maintenance of network infrastructure.
- Offer technical support to office staff, either in person or over the phone.
- Maintain an inventory of all equipment, software, and license users.
- Document and maintain processes related to hardware and software asset life cycle.
- Actively participate in the implementation of new IT solutions and services.
- Maintain the integrity and security of corporate data and IT systems.
- Assist with other IT-related projects as requested.
The ideal candidate will be tertiary qualified and have experience and exposure to the above responsibilities gained in a large corporate environment. You will also have:
- Proficiency in system administration and desktop application support within a Windows environment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 and Active Directory.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong administration skills and ability to follow strict onsite processes, instructions, and procedures.
- Hardware and software installation skills.
- Change management and user adoption experience, including training and e-learning design.
- Ability to establish rapport and maintain positive, respectful, and professional working relationships.
