About the role
WesTrac is seeking an experienced Inventory Analyst to join the Inventory Planning and Management team based at our Tomago Branch.
Reporting to the Parts Inventory Manager, the primary function of this role is to analyse the current and future inventory needs and processes within WesTrac NSW. Furthermore, this role is responsible for determining the optimal level and mix of inventory for internal and external customers, achieving Customer Service Excellence and Profitable Return on Investment.
This position will see the successful candidate working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across all areas of the business to understand future inventory requirements, opportunities and constraints and implement appropriate controls.
  • Apply continuous improvement processes and that simply and improve accuracy across the suite of inventory management systems and methods of reporting.
  • Proactively assess the health of inventory, ensuring sound analysis is completed to inform decision making.
  • Maximise future dated planned order options to maintain required KPI's outlined in Caterpillar's "Parts Excellence Program".
  • Administrate the Parts Governance Program by interacting with the NSW branch network on outstanding shipments & required weekly stock takes.
  • Manage & maintain WesTrac Enterprise Resource Planning systems to ensure effective record accuracy.

Skills & Experience
  • Tertiary qualification in business, commerce, supply chain or related discipline
  • Previous experience developing and executing parts inventory plan within a large business
  • Demonstrated mathematical and analytical skills with the ability to accurately analyse, interpret, compare detailed information and compile reports
  • Advanced time management, planning and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and interpersonal
  • Highly developed attention to detail
  • Excellence customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Advanced computer literacy skills - MS Office Suite
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team
