We are currently seeking a professional and reliable Inventory and Logistics Controller to join our team, located in Osborne Park, WA. This role has a primary focus on managing Inventory and Logistics across 3 main warehouses and 7 smaller, 3rd party warehouses across Australia. This role is ideal for an Inventory and logistic specialist looking for a challenge and a role where they have opportunity to make a genuine contribution to the growth and smooth operation of the business.
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager your main duties and responsibilities involve:
- Overall Management of Inventory and Logistics for the entire business, including monitoring, maintaining and forecasting inventory levels.
- Suggest and assist in implementing operational improvement initiatives to drive performance of Stock Control and Logistics.
- Maintain the Inventory Management system, ensuring PO's and all stock movements are entered accurately.
- Oversee and ensure all WH&S processes and standards are being observed throughout the warehouses.
- Co-ordinate with international and national suppliers, freight forwarders for both imports and interstate stock movements.
- Maintain the integrity of the inventory system with a high degree of accuracy.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and stock counts, promptly investigating and resolving variances.
- Implementing improvements in inventory management processes in all facets of inventory control, including transfers between multiple warehouse locations, receipt and dispatch.
- Co-ordinate with staff members in the main warehouses across the country, ensuring all parts utilised by technicians and all inter warehouse movements are organised, tracked and appropriately recorded.
- Ensure deliveries in and out of the business locations are being managed accordingly by the relevant warehouse staff.
- Ensure that all warehouses are kept organised and safe by effectively communicating with warehouse staff.
- Establish and maintain a cost effective buying and Logistics pattern.
Your Background
Key requirements for this role are;
- 4+ Years experience in inventory management or logistics coordination.
- Experience in logistics or manufacturing environment is desired.
- Detailed understanding and experience of working with an integrated Inventory Management System.
- Strong computer literacy.
- Ability to work collaboratively and proactively.
- Water Industry experience would be an advantage but not essential.
- Overall positive attitude and the desire to learn and progress within your career is a must.
- Forklift Licence
- Good understanding of WH&S
Warehouse Management Experience - Experience with a CRM such as Hubspot and/or an Inventory System such as Fishbowl would be highly regarded but not essential.
This is a pivotal role and requires someone who is both multi-talented and who can multitask and work under pressure. A high level of both verbal and written communication is essential, as is having an eye for detail along with strong administrative skills.
