We are currently we are seeking a Full-Time, experienced Inventory Controller to join our Perth team based in Forrestfield.
The Role:
The primary function of this role is to plan, execute and report on all aspects of inventory management to maintain optimum warehouse usage, efficiencies and inventory accuracy.
About you:
We are looking for someone who will take initiative and lead the inventory function in the Perth warehouse to meet all targets and objectives. With a demonstrated background in Inventory, you will be able to effectively manage this function and report regularly to the State Manager and National Inventory Manager.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Daily cycle counting ensuring location accuracy and SKU accuracy. Complete all reporting to the clients in accordance with SLA
- Investigate all variances and discrepancies to resolution and complete reporting
- Conduct depot searches and stock checks. Review documentation and monitor product codes to search for discrepancies; troubleshoot quantity discrepancies between stock and records
- Manage damages. Inspect units for damage, arrange re-boxing or disposal. Work with the Perth team on root cause analysis. Ensure all transactions are recorded and reported correctly.
- Manage stocktake preparations and ensure smooth running of stocktakes and audits
- Liaise with clients and the warehouse teams on inventory escalation requests and investigate and resolve discrepancies
- Observe and maintain FIFO methodology as per client agreements
- Ensure all inventory related processes are followed and meet reporting deadlines
- Provide corrective actions and feedback on Inventory Process Anomalies or Non-Compliance
- Oversee and direct where appropriate all Rework and Return Items’ activities
- Prepare, generate, and file financial inventory reports; review reports monthly with management
- Manage the returns process from start to finish to ensure customer KPI's are met

Critical Education, Qualifications & Experience:
- 3- 5 years’ Experience in a Logistics and/or Transport environment managing inventory
- Intermediate to advanced Excel reporting and analysis
Desirable but not essential:
- Experience in a 3PL warehousing environment
