Inventory and Purchasing Officer

We are currently seeking a full time Inventory Controller looking to make their mark in our branch in Rockhampton. This role requires a focused person who wishes to strive for a career in Inventory Management.

Reporting directly to the Branch Manager the successful applicant must be determined, hardworking and have the ability to interact with all staff to achieve a common goal.

This role offers variety, with duties including (but not limited to):

• All aspects of branch inventory control, including aged stock, cyclic counts, outstanding purchase orders and unallocated stock.
• Daily stock value analysis.
• Stock take preparation & manage annual stocktake.
• Processing all goods returns.
• Assisting the branch manager when required.

Key personal characteristics may also include:

• Electrical Wholesaling background is preferred, but a background in other markets inventory control would also make you suitable for the role.
• Customer service focused.
• Structured and disciplined with all tasks.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Motivated and a natural desire to succeed.
• Competent computer literacy.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Team orientated.
