Position Title: Director Aged Care Services

Role description
The Director is responsible for providing operational management and leadership of all Residential Aged Care Services at Dhelkaya Health and will consult and work collaboratively with internal and external service providers, partners, stakeholders, staff and consumers to achieve service innovations and continuously improve practices.
The primary role of the Director is to ensure the highest level of care is provided to Aged Care residents at Dhelkaya Health. This requires the delivery of evidence based, safe and effective clinical care and support. This is a senior role leading a key directorate that contributes to Dhelkaya Health's vision and purpose.
The person in this role will be a champion of Dhelkaya Health's values and purpose, and will promote and drive commitment to the Health Service's strategic objectives. Staff working at this level are expected to manage work practices for the health and wellbeing of staff, promote and adopt a balanced and positive approach to work and ensure health and safety risks are addressed in a working environment free from harassment and discrimination. The direct reports for the role include: the DON of Maldon hospital, the Nurse Unit Managers of three RACs facilities at Castlemaine, the RACS Wellbeing coordinator and RACs administration.
About you
- Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nurses and Midwives Board of Australia
- At least three years' experience in senior roles in health management
- Preferred - postgraduate qualification in health or management or working towards same, and experience working in residential Aged Care
- Demonstrated strong values driven leadership skills with a commitment to working collaboratively to achieve agreed organisational vision and objectives utilising an evidenced based quality approach
