About the Role:As an
Inventory Control Specialist at Wetherill Park, your primary responsibility is to ensure integrity in stock control for all Third-Party Logistics (3PL) sites by monitoring all warehousing and distribution movements. There are 3 areas you will be supporting: inventory management, interface, and integration.
Key Responsibilities:Inventory Management:
- Maintain stock accuracy across all 3PL sites - at a product, quantity, and batch level
- Conduct cycle counts to ensure compliance with BASF standards and investigate discrepancies
- Manage root cause analysis for stock variances and damages, ensuring financial tracking and recovery
- Investigate Non-Conformances (NCMs) for outbound deliveries and process stock adjustments accordingly
- Assist in the preparation of annual stocktakes
- Ensure pick accuracy and timely post goods issue for outbound deliveries and receipting for inbound deliveries
- Review and resolve blocked stock issues promptly
Interface:
- Oversee resolution of daily system errors/messages (IDOCs)
Integration:
- Identify and propose improvements for the interface between 3PL and BASF SAP systems
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for Inventory Control systems and practices
- Facilitate regular forums with 3PL providers to review KPIs and address issues to enhance service delivery
Key Requirements:
- Experience in previous supply chain roles
- SAP knowledge highly desirable but not essential
