Inventory Team Leader

Due to growth, we are seeking an Inventory Team Leader to join our team based in either Sydney NSW or Southern Tasmania.

If you are driven and knowledgeable in the Purchasing/Inventory industry, this could be your next career move. With a focus on achieving and exceeding inventory management goals, this full-time position will support and develop the team to lead outstanding results.

What does success look like?

• Oversee purchase planning and inventory control for Bill of Materials coordinating with stakeholders across departments and conducting periodic stocktakes at various sites.
• Manage stock quality, quantity, levels, delivery times, transport costs, and efficiency, while leading cross-functional projects within the Inventory Team.
• Handle inventory discrepancies, department challenges, and supplier relationships, with an emphasis on long-term solutions.
• Proactively enhance internal control and cost effectiveness, identifying opportunities for improvement.

The ideal candidate will have a positive, proactive attitude and strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities across various tasks and projects. Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and negotiation abilities are essential, along with strong communication skills for establishing effective working relationships. Leadership experience is necessary, as is proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and high-level proficiency in ERP systems (experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus). Previous experience in an inventory planning role within a fast-paced environment is required.
