Job description

About the role – Full-time, 12-month contract
 
You will play a pivotal part in the Group Fraud Management team whose key obligation is to protect our members from financial losses whilst assisting to recover lost funds because of scams and fraud events. In this role you will examine all facets of criminal and non-criminal investigations, with a primary focus on complex External Investigations. Exposure and assistance will also be provided within Internal investigations and liaising with law enforcement and Government agencies. 

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Provide technical investigative support to External Investigations, such as providing investigative strategy, data acquisition and analysis, and tool assessments 
  • Prepare investigative reports, present findings, and strategies to Senior Investigators
  • Analyse IP activity, recovery, and imaging and tracing of data from hard drives and devices, reconstruct and analyse digital data, understanding, familiarity and experience with encryption, networking, etc.
  • Maintain accurate records/statistics in relevant internal data systems to assist with reporting requirements and ongoing management of the business.
  • Deliver excellence in customer service and manage member expectations by developing strong working relationships with internal and external customers based on Heritage and People’s Choice Values and GFM Vision. 

About you 
 
Ideally, to be successful in this role you will have prior investigations experience allowing you to hit the ground running. You won’t be shy of having difficult conversations with our members, understanding they are facing a time of adversity, being tactful in your delivery in order to obtain as much detail as possible. With an analytical mindset, this role will allow you to think outside of the box to uncover information and determine outcomes. Attention to detail is crucial, ensuring a high level of accuracy in checking, processing, and completing tasks within set timeframes.
