Investment Analyst - Private Credit

About the Company    Our client is a highly successful mid-sized Financial Services organisation with a true breadth of investments across private equity, venture capital and active funds including a Private Credit Business. They have an established reputation for high quality deals. The opportunity within the Private Credit business has come about as a newly created role to support the year on year growth. The fund has exceeded return expectations since inception and has a very loyal investor base. 

About the role
  
The Private Credit lending team seeks a highly motivated and analytical Analyst to gain valuable experience in evaluating, structuring, and executing lending transactions. This role offers the chance to learn from experienced professionals and contribute to a dynamic team environment.

Key responsibilities include: 

• Assist with legal and regulatory due diligence on lending opportunities.
• Contribute to the evaluation of potential borrowers and credit risk using financial modeling and analysis.
• Learn about structuring and negotiation of lending transactions by observing and supporting senior team members.
• Revise spreadsheets and presentations for monthly reports.
• Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to understand and support compliance efforts.
• Assist with monitoring and managing loan portfolios, learning strategies to mitigate risk and enhance returns.

Key Experience/Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, law, or related field (or) Demonstrated experience and knowledge equivalent to a bachelor's degree.
• 2 years of experience in a financial services or related environment (or) Internship experience demonstrating strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
• Strong analytical skills and a willingness to learn.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented and organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
