Investment Analyst | Real Estate Credit

Forum Recruitment is proud to partner with an alternative asset manager who provides debt and equity opportunities through structuring, funding and managing transactions in the Australian Real Estate market on behalf of wholesale, high-net-worth and Institutional Investors. This is a senior appointment to join a dedicated and experienced team based in their Melbourne office.

What does a typical day look like?

You will be involved in the analysis and transactions of projects across multiple sectors, from land subdivisions, apartments, townhouses, industrial and retail working directly with internal Investment Managers and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conduct initial cashflow and feasibility modelling
• Assist with investment analysis and initial due diligence
• Prepare draft credit papers and asset management reports
• Assist in the deal execution process
• Take ownership of day-to-day deal management tasks
• Ensure internal investment information is regularly updated
• Contact borrowers, investors, and other stakeholders when necessary
• Conduct market research for team/investor briefings
• Provide leadership and support to an experienced Analyst in your team

About you

To be successful in this role, we require experience in a similar capacity including:

• Real estate experience from a financial institution background (i.e. Bank, Real Estate fund manager, or within the finance arm of a large developer/builder)
• Degree in Business, Commerce, Law or Property will be highly regarded
• Strong MS Excel modelling and analytical skills
• Familiar with commercial Real Estate concepts, valuations, and QS reports
• Demonstrated ability to manage financial data, project diaries, and deal documentation
