AddressFresh Country Farms (FCF) is one of the most significant investment vehicles of Australia’s largest agricultural investment group and have extensive experience in horticultural and viticultural investment and asset management.
They have operations spanning some of the finest growing regions across Australia and to a lesser extent, Spain. Their investments in horticultural and viticultural sectors include high- tech glasshouses and permanent crops including almonds, avocados, citrus, mangoes, berries, wine grapes and table grapes.
The Position:
The Investment Director is a key Senior Executive within FCF and is responsible for driving acquisitions in agricultural investments in Australia and potentially New Zealand, commercial reporting and ensuring a smooth onboarding and integration process of new investments and partnerships.
The role works closely with the CEO, CFO and key shareholder. It is critical that they build and foster strong and proactive relationship with the shareholder as well as nurture similarly strong relationships across agricultural property networks.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Lead and co-ordinate investment sourcing.
- Run the investment execution process and negotiations.
- Ultimate oversight of the model and valuation process.
- Demonstrate consistent investment judgement in formulating investment recommendations.
- Ensure the accuracy and quality of all report preparation, including assisting preparation of monthly and quarterly reports.
- Mentor, coach and develop junior staff within the investment team.
A deep knowledge of Australian agricultural investment management, detailed financial modelling and demonstrated experience in seeking investment opportunities, undertaking due diligence and writing investment reports are essential. Leadership skills, the ability to manage a collaborative team environment and to inspire and influence are also critical attributes.
The successful candidate will have a naturally hands-on style, with resilience and tenacity in driving outcomes as well as demonstrating a modesty and integrity in their approach.
