About the Job
Contribute to the effective and efficient operations of the Fund’s investment activities by providing support and managing key activities such as unit pricing, day to day operational matters, projects, regulatory reporting obligations, custody relationship and custody related matters.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Daily responsibility for operational matters including creating and managing instructions to Rest’s custodian and investment managers.
- Translate business strategy changes into operational model adjustments, processes or controls in order to maintain a robust service model.
- Support the management of the daily unit pricing process.
- Solution, implement and oversight of internal operational process changes to maintain a robust unit pricing oversight model.
- Innovate with problem-solving skills in order to maximise member outcomes.
- Contribute to building relationships with key service providers and participating in service reviews so that Rest can continue to improve the quality of services received from its strategic partners.
- Contribute, build relationships and support Investment Group initiatives and goals as related to Investment Operations.
- Contribute to and/or manage the delivery of projects to ensure the project objective is met within its specified timeframe, budget and to acceptable quality standards.
- Support the daily cashflows of the Fund including instructing related cashflow activities.
- Support the class action process for when required to ensure Rest is actively seeking the best financial outcomes for its members.
- Manage key data reconciliations and reporting outputs related to the support of Investment Operations’ regulatory reporting requirements to the ASX, ASIC, and APRA. This involves liaising with key internal and external stakeholders, maintaining appropriate controls and ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant industry reporting standards.
Qualifications
About You:
- Tertiary education in relevant discipline, or equivalent experience.
Required experience, understanding or credentials including:
- At least 5 years of experience in the financial services industry and in particular, Fund Accounting experience with an in-depth knowledge of unit pricing processes is essential
- Ability to work in an environment requiring attention to detail, problem solving and high levels of accuracy
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate needs, work under pressure, set priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and ability to negotiate, liaise and contribute at meetings with people at different levels within the organisation
- Proven experience managing multiple projects and prioritising competing deadline
