Your opportunity
We are seeking an experienced IOS Software Engineer to join our Engineering and Digital Data Technology team, for a 9 Month Fixed Term Contract. You will be creating modern software and taking it through the whole lifecycle of design, build, test, deploy and support. Working in a cross functional team to create and maintain experiences for many different user groups.
You will have overall accountability for:
- Design, build, testing, deploy and support new and existing features (owning the complete lifecycle of a feature)
- Estimate effort at sub-system level
- Peer review code, understanding the impact of overall design choices
- Input into system architecture
- Solve system bugs, performance problems, production issues
- Mentors multiple engineers
- Facilitates communication during software lifecycle e.g. stand ups, retrospectives, etc
- Influence direction of team
- Help optimise completion of work
- Estimate and feed into prioritisation
What will set you apart from the rest?
- Highly experienced with data modelling and data structures
- Experience with test driven development
- Knowledge and experience with Architecture
- Object oriented programming
- Proficient in error handling and version control
- Strong understanding and experience using modern design patterns
- Can operationalise systems
- Able to estimate at a high level
- Open to new ways of solving problems
- Focuses on communicating the problem over the fanciest solution
- Ability to communicate in minute detail to technical people and at a high level to stakeholders
- Growth focused mindset and able to accept and action feedback
- Keen to partner and pair with other engineers to share knowledge and skills
- Guiding technology decisions in different forums
- 4 to 5 years' experience as a Software Engineer
